Online counselling for residents of British Columbia
Andrea Gertz, MSW, RSW
Everyone deserves to feel heard and understood.
Everyone needs someone to talk to.
Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, anger, grief, low self-esteem, or relationship challenges, I am here to listen and support you.
My approach to counselling is collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental. I believe that building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is essential for helping each person I work with heal and grow.
My counselling practice is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models depending on each individual's situation and needs. Therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia. I am a Registered Social Worker (#14274) with the BC College of Social Workers.
I offer individual counselling sessions for adult residents of British Columbia. All sessions are held online using a video counselling format.
Video counselling sessions are conducted through Jane App - a secure, encrypted telehealth platform based out of North Vancouver, BC. Video counselling sessions through Jane App are never recorded or stored.
